URGENT: Scheduled Downtime Notice

I have just received an email from my host;

“Wednesday, May 27, 2009
10:00 AM to 11:30 PDT (UTC/GMT-7)

Final Scheduled Downtime for Power Upgrades
This is the last outage of our current upgrade schedule. After this upgrade of power, we have no further outages scheduled or anticipated.

What is happening?
Power systems are returning to full UPS battery room power after the incident in March.

What do you need to do?
Clients should shut down their servers remotely prior to 10:00 AM PDT on Wednesday. Any servers still running at 10:00 AM PDT will be powered off. Due to the volume of servers affected, no special arrangements can be made that involve our staff. Please power off your server prior to 10:00 AM PDT on Wednesday. You should test connectivity prior to Wednesday to make sure you are able to power your server off on Wednesday.

After power is restored, your server will be brought back up. Please test your server’s connectivity after noon PDT and alert us by email if you are unable to connect. We will respond as quickly as possible. We are actually hopeful this upgrade will only take one hour, but we prefer to keep our quoted times conservative.

What should you not do?
Please don’t phone us. Due to anticipated activity levels, telephones will not be answered on Wednesday. Messages left on the phone system will not be responded to on Wednesday. All communications will be done by email and every effort will be made to respond to those emails promptly. Please also note that, due to the number of servers affected, we are unable to make special arrangements for individual servers.

Well, I just cross my finger and hope that everything will be fine, oh, almost forgot, just completed a Veritas Cluster Server Cluster File System installation, really rare, will blog about that after this.
