  • Stupid PHP error when you enable automatic update via cPanel

Hello all my friends out there!!

It has been a month since I last wrote here, due to heavy task came in and research that has need to be done, I left this blog for a while, while enabling cPanel to automatically update it’s system software.

Just about 2 weeks ago, when I tried to login to this blog again, then the shit happens, whenever I key in the username and password and click Login, the page will just refresh and nothing happened. I traced into all logs but couldnt find anything, weird. I can still login to my emails and cPanel GUI but not to all my sites, I was wondering what is actually going on.

For 2 weeks, I kept on wondering when I lastly gave up, I logged a support ticket to my distributor, but what a mess, my distributor said they are not responsible for technical support.

Lastly, I logged a call to cPanel and within just 2 hours, the issue resolved. The culprit lies inside PHP configuration while automatic updates occur. When it comes to PHP upgrade part, it will reset the configuration and for this case, post_max_size is set to a very low numbers, so the support guy increase it to 100Mb and wallah, I can login again to my site, kudos to that guy. So next time, beware, never automatically update your cPanel or you will end up like mine.

    Regards,

    Rewlie
